Nihon buyou , the Japanese classical dance, is both the dance of the Kabuki & the geisha.
Developed out of various traditions, it has a long & rich history.
Unlike ritual & folk dances associated with daily life, Nihon buyou is a performing art for the stage.
Known for its simplicity, its emotional expression & symbolic gestures, it is a refined & amazing language.
On saturday 8/7/10 3pm Starmoon Yakubu will be performing a lecture on Nihon buyou.
The story will be told in both words & pictures. Dance presentation at the end.
